The method of recovering your lost password by sms consists of the following steps:
- Open the phone’s SMS app
- Type KL USR RST USERID DATE_OF_BIRTH
- Send to 166 OR 51969 OR 9223166166 (Use any one number from the list)
Eg: If your User ID is sreejith and Date of Birth is 20/03/1985; SMS format will be KL USR RST sreejith 20031985
After a few minutes you will get a new password or password reset instructions by SMS.
After successfully recovered your password by SMS, your new password will be the first six characters of User Id followed by the digits of your date of birth.
Eg: Your new password will be – sreeji20031985

User IDs will not be an email address, as Kerala PSC only allow text, numbers and it must be unique.

Expatriates face lots of difficulties as once it’s registered the mobile number may not be used and it becomes inactive. In these cases what we can do? Do not tell to call help desk. After successfully resetting, your password will be (If your DOB is 20/10/1987 & User Name is abingeorge) then your password "abinge20101987". Try and comment again.
