The government changed the name of Lower Division Clerk (LD Clerk) to “Clerk”. The new notification uses the updated position name.

The salary scale for LDC 2024 ranges from Rs.26,500 to Rs.60,700.
The notification for the LD Clerk exam is usually released every two or three years.
This notification came after four years. This time, there might be more applicants, and the exam could be tougher.
In previous years, approximately 14 to 17 lakh candidates applied for the post.
This time, it will be more than 18 lakhs.
Kerala PSC LDC 2024 Exam Schedule
The PSC decides to hold the examination based on how many people apply in the district.
The Kerala PSC can organize the LDC exam for up to two lakh candidates in a single day.
The exam calendar for 2024 will be out in the first week of January, as per reports.
Candidates will get enough time for their exam confirmation. Two months before the exam, PSC will send notifications through the profile, SMS, and email.
PSC permits only candidates who confirm their exam participation through their profiles. Others are not eligible to attend the examination.
Candidates must update their current addresses to choose a specific district. The exam center will be in the district of the temporary address. Kerala PSC will consider the applicant’s chosen district this year. With exam centers in each district, you can pick your district or Taluk for the exam.
