Institute of Banking Personnel Selection – IBPS well conduct a common written examination for the recruitment of probationary officers or management trainees in its public sector Banks. This exam will be conducted online. To be eligible for this exam graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or college is compulsory. The candidate has to have the aged between 20 years and 30 years. The upper age limit shall be relaxed to a certain limit for the reserves category applicants.
As for the selection procedure of IBPS PO the candidates will have to undergo three state selection process. Preliminary examination which means all the candidates will have to appear preliminary exam. Candidates, who clear the preliminary exam will appear for the mains exam. Depending on the performance in your main exam and the number of vacancies available you will be called for the interview. Final merit list will be prepared based on the marks and also in your interview.
IBPS PO preliminary exam is an objective type online examination for hundred marks. There will be three sections in the exam. Mainly English language, Quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability. A total of hundred questions have to be answered in 16 minutes. Every question has one mark for the right answer and 0.25 negative marks for a wrong answer.
So, on the basis of your performance the preliminary exam candidates will be selected for the mains exam of IBPS PO. IBPS PO mains exam there are two additional part sections apart from English, Quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability. Those two sections are General awareness and Computer knowledge. A total of 200 questions from these five sections have to be answered in 140 minutes. similar to preliminary exam has one mark for correct answer and 0.25 negative mark for a wrong answer. Candidates, who have been shortlisted in the mains exam of IBPS PO will subsequently be called for an interview. The total marks alloted for your interview is 100. A candidate should qualified both mains and interview to be in the merit list and shortlisted for further process.
